One of the most beautiful villages in France and the place we call home! Walk along the Veules (the smallest river in France), follow it to the sea, and see if you can find the little cave where Victor Hugo once came to contemplate the horizon.
VARENGEVILLE-SUR-MER
Just a few minutes away, and quietly breathtaking.
The clifftop church feels almost unreal, and the gardens of Bois des Moutiers are a peaceful, hidden treasure.
MONT-SAINT-MICHEL
A little further away (about two hours), but undeniably iconic. Yes, it’s popular and often busy but it’s one of those places you have to see at least once in your life.
ÉTRETAT
For dramatic cliffs and endless views, this is the place. Climb to the top and take in some of Normandy’s most iconic scenery. the light is especially beautiful in the early morning or late afternoon.
HONFLEUR
The prettiest harbor in Normandy.
About an hour from Veules-les-Roses, it’s perfect for a full day out with Deauville and Trouville just nearby, both iconic in their own way.
D-DAY BEACHES
A little further away, but deeply moving.
Omaha Beach, the American Cemetery, and Pointe du Hoc are powerful places that offer a moving perspective on history.
